Belarus FDC
Name: Konstanty Wasyl Ostrogski
Date of Issue: 17 February 2008

Konstanty Wasyl Ostrogski (1526-13 February 1608) (Lithuanian: Konstantinas Vasilijus Ostrogiškis) was a Lithuanian prince, starost of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Marshal of Volhynia and voivode of Kyiv Voivodship, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Married on January 1553 in Tarnów. Refused to help False Dmitriy I. Supporter of Jan Zamoyski.

In 1570s he waged war against another magnate, Stanisław Tarnowski, about disputed possession of estates in the area of Tarnów. Among Ostrogski's private army were units of the Tatars.

Comment: According to, Ostrogski is a Lithuanian, so I have no idea why Belarus issued his stamp. Do you know whether he and Belarus had any relationship.
