Climate change is a serious challenge that all countries are facing. Science and technology is fundamental to address this issue effectively. In order to facilitate international S&T exchange and cooperation, identify effective ways, and promote the establishment of a fair and reasonable international regime and cooperation mechanism to combat climate change, relevant ministries of Chinese Government and international organizations jointly hold the International Forum on Climate Change and Science & Technology Innovation during 24-25 April 2008 in Beijing. As the first high level international conference on climate change hosted by Chinese Government, the forum indicates the great resolution and confidence of Chinese Government, together with international community, to actively address climate change through S&T advancement, and to make new contribution to protect the global climate.
