The Emblem of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, depicting the image of tree people – you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind. Inspired by the shape of the Chinese character "世" (meaning the world), the design conveys the organizer's wish to host an Expo which is of global scale and which showcases the diversified urban cultures of the world. The Mascot (HAIBAO) features a Chinese character "人" (meaning the human). The design symbolizes that human creates a happy life and experience it as well. Blue is the symbol of ocean, future, science and technology. HAIBAO conveys the theme of the Shanghai World Expo "Better city, Better life".
My Dear FDC exchange friends. All of your FDCs were sent from Linyi Road Post Office, Shanghai by registered mail. It's approximately 15km far from my home but only 890m from Shanghai World Expo Office Block. The Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Shanghai World Expo Land Reserve Centre (Shanghai World Expo Land Holding Corporation) are all seated in this Office Block. Map link
