By the President's Decree of the Russian Federation of 2007 it is declared by the year of the Russian language, within the framework of which are conducted the in a cultured way enlightenment, scientific and educational measures, directed toward the popularization of the Russian language and literature, toward the support of the programs of their study in Russia and abroad. In a number of the measures, dedicated to the year of the Russian language, the All-Russian competition of the figure of post model "I sketch the alphabet".
