Taiwan FDC
Name: Famous Works of Buddhist Architecture in Taiwan
Issue date: 2007 May 24th
Citizens of the ROC enjoy religious freedom and can worship any legal faith. In Taiwan Buddhism is deeply entrenched in the common people’s culture and every day life. With this in mind, Taiwan Post is issuing a set of four stamps featuring the buildings of Dharma Drum Mountain, the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, the Fo Guang Shan Monastery and the Tzu Chi Foundation. The stamps will be released on May 24, 2007. The stamps, which have white backgrounds to symbolize the pristine purity of the Buddhist world, feature the most representative buildings of Dharma Drum Mountain, the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, the Fo Guang Shan Monastery and the Tzu Chi Foundation.
