Admiralty - one of the masterpieces of architecture of St. Petersburg, a monument of Russian classicism. Ship on its spire is one of the symbols of the city along with the Bronze Horseman and the Palace Bridge.

It is believed that the prototype ship became the first Russian ship - a frigate "Eagle", which was built by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in 1667-1669 gg.
