Visakhapuja Day is the day commemorating the Birth, the Attainment and the Death of the Lord Buddha. It is considered as a miracle since these three occasions are related to important moments in Lord Buddha's life, which occured many years apart and fell on the full moon of the sixth lunar month. As a token of appreciation for his kindness, his intellect and his purity, devout Buddhists make merit and organized religious ceremonies in commemoration of their Great Teacher.
